When some people think of 2010, they may think of Arther C. Clarke’s book. We took it as an opportunity to celebrate the New Year by designing a calendar. Brad Simon put together this project.
The calendar project was started as a way to try and take advantage of our great new screen printing room as well as take advantage of some of the diverse talent in the studio. The calendar format seemed perfect.
Each designer was given a page size (8 x 10), paper stock (French Kraft) and two colors (black and white) to design, leaving it open on how they would interpret their chosen month. The only other limitation was that it had to somehow incorporate the days of that month. How they did that was up to them. What we got was a great range of designs and styles that make each month of the calendar unique and surprising.
“Silks” (a.k.a. Walker Cahall) has been spending time printing these bad boys and now they’re for sale. They’re pretty limited, so put your order in.

Very nice, good job, everyone! Wish I could get one of these but I guess the shipping costs to the Netherlands would be the same price as the calendar itself :/
We’re checking on the shipping rate… and we’ll let you know.
why on earth, did you have to put the 365 twice on top? just cause you made art don’t mean you had to toss-out the principals of design. i’m sorry but for someone that does better work, this is pretty weak.

If “Principles of Design” means producing work like Akrok then I will gladly ignore all “Principles of Design”. Also, calling yourself a “creative super hero” is pretty weak.
Dear Akrok, As a freelancer you just red flagged yourself from working at one of the most creative agencies in the world. CONGRATS idiot!
@brad
your site is much better, oh wait. you don’t have one. i guess that goes for humor also. tah-tah.
@Stiff
i think they want their workers to speak up and not agree and smile on everything.
